Australian junior metals company Cyclone Metals Ltd announced a milestone development at its Iron Bear project in Canada, which has the potential to become one of the world's largest high-grade iron ore mines.

Located in the Labrador Trough near Schefferville, the magnetite deposit at this project contains a massive resource of 16.66 billion mt of ore with an iron grade of 29.3%. This enables the Cyclone project to transform into a world-class operation with an annual production capacity of 25 million mt, yielding 16 million mt of blast furnace-grade concentrates with an iron content nearing 70%, along with 9 million mt of direct reduction pellets grading 71% iron and containing only 1.1% silicon dioxide.
