Zanaga Iron Ore Company (ZIOC) announced the results of metallurgical test work and flowsheet optimization, confirming the Zanaga project's capability to produce high-grade direct reduced iron (DRI) pellet feed for green steel production.

The project is expected to have a mine life of 30 years, with Phase 1 production capacity of 12 million mt/year and Phase 2 capacity of 18 million mt/year.

The Zanaga mine holds 6.9 billion mt of resources and 2.1 billion mt of reserves, positioning it as the flagship iron ore mine in the Congo Republic with the potential to become one of the world's largest iron ore mines.
