Cadence Minerals announced the results of its review of mining costs at the Amapa iron ore project in northern Brazil.
Compared with previously disclosed costs, the updated mining costs showed significant reductions in both FOB and CFR. Following contractor rebidding, mining costs decreased from $17.65/DMT to $11.17/DMT, a 36.7% reduction, while overall FOB costs dropped from $33.75/DMT to $27.28/DMT, a 19.2% decline.
The current CFR cash cost for the Amapa iron ore mine stands at $55.46/DMT, positioning it among the lowest-cost producers.
