Athena Resources in Western Australia announced the successful production of a 10 kg ultra-high-grade magnetite concentrate sample from its Byro magnetite project, with an iron grade of 70.55%. This achievement highlights the project's potential to produce high-quality iron ore concentrates, which are crucial for the future of green steel and steel applications. The product sample is free of impurities and will undergo further testing to evaluate its suitability for pelletizing and direct reduced iron (DRI) production, positioning Athena as a significant player in the high-grade iron ore market.

The Byro iron ore project is located in the Midwest iron ore region of the US, with Athena holding 100% ownership. It is currently in the exploration phase, with no definitive capacity projections yet.
