Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Horizon Robotics released its financial results for the first half of 2025 (H1 2025) on August 27, reporting strong revenue and profit growth. The company generated 1.567 billion yuan in revenue during the six-month period, a 67.6% spike year-on-year. Gross profit rose 38.6% over a year earlier to 1.024 billion yuan, with a gross margin of 65.4%.

Revenue contributions were evenly split between products and solutions (778 million yuan) and software and licensing services (738 million yuan). Of them, the former's sales surged 3.5 times compared with a year earlier, driven by higher shipment volumes and improved pricing.

The company shipped 1.98 million units of its Journey-series automotive processors in H1 2025, doubling last year's tally. Nearly half of these—980,000 units—were chips enabling highway assisted driving, a sixfold increase from the same period in 2024. The Journey 6 series was the main driver of this growth.

The Journey 6 series, Horizon Robotics's latest generation of in-vehicle intelligent computing solution, spans 18 TOPS to 560 TOPS in processing power, enabling a wide range of autonomous driving applications. Its mid-tier variants, the Journey 6E and 6M, have been adopted by more than 20 automakers to support over 100 vehicle models, offering a balance of high performance and cost efficiency.

In urban assisted driving, the company's HSD (Horizon SuperDrive™) urban driving assistance system—built on the Journey 6P—has also secured contracts with several OEMs for more than ten vehicle models. The technology will debut in production later this year on the Chery EXEED STERRA E05 model.

Including earlier generations such as the Journey 2, 3, and 5, Horizon Robotics has now secured designated orders in nearly 400 new vehicle programs. More than 100 of these support highway assisted driving or higher-level functions. In H1 2025 alone, over 15 models equipped with the company’s mid-to-high-end ADAS solutions entered mass production and hit the market.

International expansion also gathered momentum. Horizon Robotics secured programs with two Japanese automakers outside of China for its Horizon Mono solution, a new entry-level ADAS platform built on the Journey 6B. These deals are expected to generate more than 7.5 million sets in lifetime shipments. Domestically, nine joint ventures covering 30 models have also adopted Horizon Robotics' solutions, with some entering production later this year.
