The shared goal is to combine processes such as separation, fluoride production, and metallization into a continuous operation within a single facility, aiming to increase production and reduce waste. Although the specific location has not been finalised, the companies are considering ReElement's existing plant in Marion, Indiana, and Principal's facility in Camden, South Carolina, while other potential sites remain under consideration. The facility will process rare earth materials sourced from mines and recycling by ReElement, with Principal taking charge of further producing rare earth fluorides and metals.
