【SMM Steel】Ukrainian industrial company Interpipe has supplied nearly 250 tons of steel pipes for the construction of an offshore wind farm in Normandy, France. The pipes, with diameters ranging from 101.6 mm to 419.1 mm, will serve as foundations for boat mooring platforms at each of the project's 62 wind turbines located near Le Tréport and Dieppe in the English Channel.
According to Pipe Sales Manager Jorge Ruiz, the seamless pipes manufactured from steel grade E355+N/S355NH comply with EN 10297/EN 10210 standards, meeting stringent mechanical and chemical requirements to withstand harsh marine conditions. Construction of the wind farm began in January 2024 and is scheduled for completion by late 2026, with expected capacity to power over 850,000 households with renewable energy.
