Dongfeng Motor launches five new vehicle models in Morocco to accelerate African expansion

China Dongfeng Motor Industry Import & Export Co. Ltd. recently rolled out five new passenger vehicle (PV) models in Morocco, marking a decisive step in its African growth strategy.

SHANGHAI (Gasgoo)- China Dongfeng Motor Industry Import & Export Co. Ltd. recently rolled out five new passenger vehicle (PV) models in Morocco, marking a decisive step in its African growth strategy, according to a press release the company issued on August 25 via its WeChat account. The launch event in Casablanca underscored the company's ambition to accelerate its global expansion and strengthen its presence in emerging markets.

The lineup unveiled includes the DONGFENG Shine, the DONGFENG Shine Max HEV, the DONGFENG Mage, the DONGFENG Huge, and the DONGFENG Box. Together, the models aim to serve Morocco's increasingly diverse mobility needs—ranging from daily commuting and family use to business travel and specialized scenarios—while combining advanced automotive technologies with modern design and performance.

The launch drew strong interest, with 20 units of confirmed sales and more than 200 intent orders placed during the event, said the company.

Liao Qingli, Director of the Africa Regional Marketing Center, Passenger Vehicle Overseas Marketing Department, China Dongfeng Motor Industry Import & Export Co. Ltd., said the focus now is on deepening investment in Morocco. Plans include building a stronger local sales and service network to improve the customer experience, while also introducing additional car models to broaden the product portfolio and meet rising demand for high-quality vehicles.
