Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On August 26, Anji Logistics, the logistics arm under SAIC Motor, held the delivery and naming ceremony of its 38th self-operated ro-ro vessel, the "ANJI PROSPERITY," a carrier with capacity of 9,500 vehicles, at the China Merchants Jinling Shipyard in Yizheng city, Jiangsu province.

The new vessel, equipped with advanced and energy-efficient technology, is the third 9,500-vehicle carrier to join Anji Logisctis' deep-sea fleet this year. It will soon embark on its maiden voyage to Europe, strengthening the company's long-haul transport capacity.

SAIC Motor's vehicles are now sold in more than 170 countries and regions worldwide, with overseas sales exceeding six million units to date. Europe has become a key growth market, with annual deliveries reaching the 300,000-unit mark. Despite challenges such as additional tariffs, SAIC Motor's MG brand delivered nearly 180,000 vehicles in Europe between January and July this year, achieving double-digit year-on-year growth.

Anji Logistics plays a central role in advancing the group's globalization strategy. In recent years, the company has built the largest self-operated car carrier fleet in China, with 38 vessels now in service. It has also improved operational efficiency through digital tracking and smart dispatch systems, while expanding its network to eight major international routes, covering Southeast Asia, Mexico, the Persian Gulf, and Europe.
