Official disclosures indicate that the first phase, with a capacity of 250,000 tons, is planned to officially commence production in September 2025. The project, launched in 2023, is one of the core initiatives of the group to extend its new energy materials industry chain. The project scale and investment include a total planned capacity of 1 million t/a of lithium iron phosphate cathode materials, to be constructed in three phases. The first phase involves an investment of approximately RMB 15 billion to build a 250,000-ton capacity.
【Waste Lithium Battery Comprehensive Utilization Project in Qidong City】
Recently, the People's Government of Qidong City, Jiangsu Province, officially published the approval announcement for the "Resource Comprehensive Utilization Expansion Project of a Nantong-based Renewable Resources Company." According to the environmental impact assessment details, the core highlights of this expansion include two major components: first, the upgrade of the existing waste flux regeneration line, planning to increase the annual processing capacity from the current 180,000 tons to 210,000 tons; second, the addition of resource utilization capabilities for lithium battery waste, specifically the annual processing of 8,034 tons of ternary lithium battery waste and 70,000 tons of lithium iron phosphate battery waste.
【Waste Lithium Battery Comprehensive Utilization Project in Hegang City】
Recently, Heilongjiang News Network publicly released the detailed environmental impact report and public participation statement for the waste lithium battery recycling project of a Heilongjiang-based metal manufacturing company, marking the project's official entry into the public view and the beginning of its green transformation journey. The project is planned to be implemented in two phases. The first phase will involve the construction of an advanced waste lithium battery processing production line, adopting refined processes such as "inspection and storage-dismantling-drying-crushing and sorting-packaging," with an expected annual processing capacity of 6,000 tons, including 5,000 tons of waste ternary lithium batteries and 1,000 tons of waste lithium iron phosphate batteries. The second phase will further expand the scale by adding five production lines focused on the "crushing and sorting-packaging"环节, including three lines for waste positive electrode sheets (from waste ternary lithium batteries) and two lines for waste negative electrode sheets, each with an annual processing capacity of 6,000 tons.
【20,000-Ton Waste Lithium Battery Resource Recycling Project in Lianjiang County】
Recently, the People's Government of Lianjiang County, Fujian Province, published a highly anticipated pre-approval announcement for the waste lithium battery resource recycling project of a Fujian-based materials technology company. The project construction will be carried out in two phases in an orderly manner. The first phase will focus on building a mechanical and physical crushing and sorting workshop for waste lithium batteries, with a designed annual processing capacity of 20,000 tons of waste lithium batteries and electrode sheet waste. The second phase will focus on constructing a battery material wet process production line workshop. Upon full completion, the project is expected to process 20,000 tons of waste lithium batteries and electrode sheet waste annually.
【150,000-Set Comprehensive Utilization Project for Retired Vehicle Power Battery Packs】
