After 10:30 am, it dropped to near 79,420 yuan/mt. In the afternoon, it continued to give up gains, hitting a low of 79,040 yuan/mt, nearly breaking below the 79,000 yuan/mt level, and closed at 79,190 yuan/mt. The price spread between futures contracts switched directly between Contango and BACK, with Shanghai spot copper imports incurring a loss of about 250 yuan/mt.
