[SMM Lithium Battery Recycling] Jiangsu Boerberk New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. received approval for its large-scale recycling and reuse project, which includes dismantling 20,000 scrapped vehicles per year and reusing 15,000 tons of retired new energy batteries. The project, located in Jiangsu Feng County Economic Development Zone, features advanced equipment and will be implemented in two phases with a total investment of over 1 billion RMB. In addition, Jiangsu Province has become a national leader in battery recycling, introducing strict environmental standards aligned with EU regulations, launching regional collaboration plans, and offering substantial subsidies for large projects. With China’s retired battery volume expected to reach 820,000 tons in 2025 and exceed 4 million tons by 2028, the recycling industry is set to surpass 280 billion RMB in output value. This project not only strengthens the company’s market position but also contributes to building a green circular economy by reducing environmental risks and recovering valuable metals like cobalt, nickel, and lithium.
