Emerita Resources Corp. has reported strong drill results from its ongoing campaign at the El Cura deposit, part of the company’s 100%-owned Iberian Belt West (IBW) Project in Spain. Key intercepts include: 16.9m grading 1.4% Cu, 2.1% Zn, 0.93 g/t Au, and 42.66 g/t Ag (EC067), 7.2m grading 1.0% Cu, 1.9% Zn, 1.31 g/t Au, and 60.10 g/t Ag (EC062). Additional high-grade intervals include 3.1m of 2.3% Cu and 2.21 g/t Au (EC057) and 2.7m of 1.3% Cu and 1.58 g/t Au (EC068).
The results confirm the deposit’s westward plunge and support continued expansion both laterally and at depth. Emerita has now approved an additional 10,000 meters of drilling to convert Inferred to Indicated resources and expand the current mineralized envelope. The El Cura deposit remains open in multiple directions and continues to demonstrate significantly more scale than indicated by historic work. President Joaquin Merino stated: “The deposit remains open, and we are seeing excellent thickness and grade. Previous operators missed the structural controls — we're now targeting those effectively.”
