General Administration of Customs: China's July Copper Cathode Imports Declined but the Decrease Was Limited

Customs data showed that China's copper cathode imports in July were 336,000 mt, down 0.32% MoM and up 12.05% YoY. The Democratic Republic of Congo remained the largest supplier, with a supply of 142,800 mt, up 20.72% MoM and also up 20% YoY. Russia was the second-largest supplier, with a supply of 30,600 mt, down 32.25% MoM and up 20.76% YoY. In July, import losses narrowed, and China's copper cathode imports remained at a relatively high level for the year.
