【SMM Steel】The US Department of Commerce (USDOC) issued a preliminary determination stating that certain seamless oil country tubular goods (OCTG) imported from Thailand are circumventing existing anti-dumping (AD) and countervailing duty (CVD) orders on Chinese OCTG. The finding was published in the Federal Register on August 19.
Initiated in December 2024, the investigation concluded that seamless OCTG manufactured in Thailand using Chinese-origin steel billets should be subject to the same tariff measures. Three companies—Boly Pipe Co., Ltd., Nanobest Limited, and Petroleum Equipment (Thailand) Co., Ltd.—were named as mandatory respondents in the circumvention inquiry.
