[SMM New Energy News Flash] Heilongjiang Production Chain Metal Manufacturing Co., Ltd. has released the full environmental impact report and public participation statement for its waste lithium battery recycling project, officially marking its entry into the public eye. The project will be implemented in two phases: the first phase will build an advanced production line capable of processing 6,000 tons of waste lithium batteries annually (5,000 tons of ternary batteries and 1,000 tons of LFP batteries). The second phase will add five additional lines focusing on electrode recycling, each with an annual capacity of 6,000 tons, highlighting the company’s commitment to efficient resource recovery. Heilongjiang’s abundant natural resources, especially graphite reserves exceeding 340 million tons, provide a strong foundation for the battery recycling industry. Cities like Jixi and Hegang are already developing advanced graphite processing bases and producing ultra-high-purity graphite and graphene products, which are entering fields such as new energy and semiconductors. Large-scale projects, such as green low-carbon mines and biomass refining, are also accelerating the region’s transformation.
