Dongfeng Motor, JD.com forge strategic partnership

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On August 14, Dongfeng Motor and JD.com ("JINGDONG") officially signed a strategic cooperation agreement, establishing a comprehensive and long-term partnership, according to a post via Hubei Release's WeChat account.

In recent years, Dongfeng Motor has maintained an open approach to industry collaboration, forging strong ties with JD.com across various sectors such as logistics commercial vehicles, user marketing, and after-sales service ecosystems. The companies have jointly developed customized vehicle models, spearheading the deployment of new energy vehicles and intelligent solutions. Additionally, they have worked together to optimize procurement and supply chain systems, offering tailored services that meet all scenarios — each step of their collaboration contributing to industry upgrades.

This new partnership will see Dongfeng Motor leveraging its deep expertise in the entire automotive industry chain, technological research and development, and manufacturing systems. Combined with JD.com's strengths in digital supply chains, platform ecosystems, and customer services, the collaboration will focus on three core areas: vehicle marketing and after-sales services, procurement and supply chain management, as well as smart logistics. The companies will also explore potential breakthroughs in digital technology, brand communication, and international markets, aiming to create a mutually beneficial industrial ecosystem.

The two companies will prioritize user needs, aiming to enhance the efficiency of their collaboration across the board. In vehicle marketing and after-sales services, they will combine their brand strengths to innovate all-channel marketing models, enhance customer attraction, and boost brand value. This will drive cooperation in commercial vehicle marketing, after-sales services, and automotive ecosystem collaborations. In the supply chain sector, they will broaden the scope of cooperation, improving procurement efficiency and cost control capabilities. In logistics, the companies will collaborate on logistics services, technology, and logistics park leasing, capitalizing on Dongfeng Motor's logistics system and JD.com's warehousing and distribution network, to streamline the full logistics chain for automotive parts, from pre-production to after-sales.
