The two sides plan to collaborate across six key areas: localization, vehicle-road-cloud integration, joint innovation, transparent and green supply chains, and product competitiveness.

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On August 18, Desay SV and Dongfeng Motor held a strategic cooperation signing ceremony in Wuhan.

The two companies have built a longstanding partnership. Desay SV has supported Dongfeng Motor's product development and brand transformation by leveraging its strength in integrated hardware-software solutions for smart mobility, alongside its agile R&D and robust supply chain capabilities.

The new agreement signals the start of a deeper phase in their cooperation. The two sides plan to collaborate across six key areas: localization, vehicle-road-cloud integration, joint innovation, transparent and green supply chains, and product competitiveness. Their partnership will cover Desay SV's portfolio in advanced technologies such as smart cockpits, driver assistance systems, domain controllers, display products, and intelligent access. By adopting a co-development model, they aim to accelerate the rollout of market-ready innovations and contribute to the high-quality growth of China's auto industry.

Desay SV already plays a key role across Dongfeng Motor's subsidiaries, including Dongfeng Passenger Vehicle and Dongfeng Nissan. For example, it has supplied air-conditioning panels, controllers, and display technologies for various Dongfeng Nissan's models. Notably, for Dongfeng Nissan's first battery electric vehicle (BEV) model, the N7, Desay SV delivered its IPU04E intelligent driving domain controller and 7V smart driving camera solution, enabling the model's highway NOA (Navigate on Autopilot) functionality.

The partnership upgrade centers on collaborative innovation in technology. Huang Yong, Deputy General Manager of Dongfeng Motor, said the companies will prioritize user experience and value creation, while exploring new cooperation models. By moving from late-stage decision-making to early-stage co-creation, Dongfeng Motor and Desay SV aim to break down barriers among suppliers, improve resource efficiency, and deliver safer, more reliable technologies that enhance the driving experience.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
