Published: Aug 19, 2025 16:45
Boksit, a Bosnian bauxite miner, announced that its total revenue fell 43.5% year-on-year to DM15 million in the first half of 2025, despite still achieving strong profitability. Net profit reached DM4.7 million (USD2.8 million/EUR2.4 million), a significant increase from DM791,013 in the same period last year. This reflects the effectiveness of cost-cutting measures, with total expenses falling 59.8% to DM10.4 million. Boksit is majority-owned by Pavgord, a Bosnian real estate group that also controls Alumina, Bosnia's largest aluminum exporter. Boksit has benefited from increased global demand for bauxite, fueled by tightening aluminum supplies, while also strategically streamlining its operations.
