This milestone makes Leapmotor the second new energy vehicle (NEV) startup in China to post a half-year profit.

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On August 18, Chinese new energy vehicle maker Leapmotor released its 2025 interim results, reporting its first-ever half-year net profit. This milestone makes Leapmotor the second new energy vehicle (NEV) startup in China to post a half-year profit.

In the first six months of 2025, the company delivered 221,664 vehicles, marking a year-on-year spike of 155.7%. Revenue surged 174% from a year ago to 24.25 billion yuan, while gross margin reached a record 14.1%. Leapmotor also reported a strong cash position of 29.58 billion yuan, alongside positive operating and free cash flow.

Leapmotor's growth has been driven by an aggressive product rollout. In 2025, the company has launched two new vehicle models on its B platform and refreshed three models on its C platform. The B10, hitting the market on April 10, quickly became the fastest model in Leapmotor's history to surpass 10,000-unit deliveries. The B01 went on sale July 24 and secured over 10,000 units of firm orders within 72 hours upon its market launch.

On the C platform, the C10 has reached more than 150,000-unit deliveries worldwide in just 16 months, while the C11 crossed the 250,000-unit milestone by June. The all-new C11 hit the market July 10, bringing advanced features such as AR-HUD, LiDAR, and 800V ultra-fast charging into the mainstream.

International expansion has emerged as Leapmotor's second growth engine. Between January and July 2025, the company exported 24,980 vehicles, more than any other Chinese NEV startup. Europe has been the strongest market, with July orders surpassing 4,000 units—a record high. The first batch of B10 models has already shipped to Europe and will go on sale in the local market at the IAA MOBILITY 2025 in September.

By the end of June, Leapmotor International had established around 600 outlets with sales and service capabilities across nearly 30 global markets. More than 550 of these are in Europe, while nearly 50 are located in Asia-Pacific.

Localization is also moving forward. In April, Leapmotor and Stellantis announced the start of the Leapmotor C10 assembly project at Stellantis' Gurun plant in Kedah, Malaysia. On August 7, the first locally assembled C10 rolled off the line, paving the way for mass production. The company has also signaled plans to establish a local production base in Europe by the end of 2026, further accelerating its global ambitions.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
