On 5 August, the Energy and Environmental Materials Research Division of the Korea Institute of Materials Science (KIMS) announced that its team had successfully developed a highly efficient and durable flexible perovskite solar cell, overcoming two major challenges in the commercialisation of such cells—humidity sensitivity and mechanical stability—and taking a key step forward in the large-scale application of perovskite solar cells.
