Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On August 14, Geely Automobile Holdings Limited ("Geely Automobile") reported interim results for the first half (H1) of 2025, with revenue rising 27% year-on-year to 150.3 billion yuan, the highest-ever level for the corresponding period in the company's history.

Net profit attributable to shareholders reached around 9.29 billion yuan, while core net profit—excluding foreign exchange and other non-operating gains—surged 102% from a year ago to 6.66 billion yuan. Gross profit increased to 24.7 billion yuan, lifting the gross margin to 16.4%.

Vehicle sales surged 47% in H1 2025 to 1.409 million units, outpacing the broader market and pushing Geely Automobile's domestic market share above 10% for the first time. New energy vehicles (NEVs) were the standout performers, with combined sales across Geely, Zeekr, and Lynk & Co reaching 725,151 units—a 126% year-on-year surge—raising the NEV penetration rate to 51.5%. On the back of this stronger-than-expected performance, the company lifted its full-year sales target by around 11% to 3 million units from its previous 2.71 million goal.

Geely Automobile credited the strong revenue and profit growth alongside booming sales to its "One Geely" strategy, first outlined in the Tāizhōu Declaration. The initiative has driven deeper integration and efficiency across its brands, with the merger of Zeekr and Lynk & Co. unlocking sustained synergies. The consolidation has strengthened Geely's position in the premium vehicle segment while delivering significant savings in R&D, manufacturing, and management costs.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
