The company has set its sights on delivering over 8,000 Li i8 units by the end of September, with an ambitious stretch goal of 10,000 units.

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Li Auto is gearing up to deliver its first batch of Li i8 SUVs starting August 20, marking a major step in the company's push into the BEV (battery electric vehicle) market. Customers who have locked their orders can now check updated delivery timelines via the Li Auto app or official website.

The company has set its sights on delivering over 8,000 Li i8 units by the end of September, with an ambitious stretch goal of 10,000 units—timed to get as many vehicles as possible into buyers' hands ahead of the National Day holiday.

Hitting the market on July 29 as Li Auto's first all-electric SUV, the Li i8 debuted in three trims priced between 321,800 yuan and 369,800 yuan.

However, in a move to simplify its offering, Li Auto announced on August 5 that it would consolidate the lineup around the Max trim, lowering its price from 349,800 yuan to 339,800 yuan. Buyers will also receive a complimentary platinum audio system worth 10,000 yuan, while an optional rear-seat entertainment package is available at the same price.

The adjustment means customers who ordered the top-spec Ultra variant now get equivalent features at 20,000 yuan less, while Pro buyers will be offered either a refund or an upgrade.

Positioned as a "smaller MEGA Home," the Li i8 blends yacht-inspired design with a balance of space, capability, and driving performance. It also signals the start of Li Auto's "i" series, with the next model—a five-seat pure-electric SUV named i6—expected to be launched in September.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
