Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On August 10, Chinese new energy vehicle (NEV) manufacturer XPENG announced it had added 86 self-operated charging stations in July, including five S5 ultra-fast stations, seventy-seven S4 ultra-fast stations, two supercharging stations, and two destination stations, according to a press release issued by XPENG via its WeChat account.

As of August 1, 2025, the company's self-operated charging network comprises more than 2,440 stations with 13,200 charging connectors, covering 430 cities nationwide.

XPENG's innovations in charging technology have also drawn industry attention. In September last year, the company launched its liquid-cooled S5 ultra-fast charger, capable of delivering a peak charging power of 800kW — enabling more than one kilometer of range per second — with a maximum output current of 800A, voltage of 1,000V, and plug-in-to-start time under 13 seconds. The new-generation S5 stations have already added in Shenzhen, Beijing, Chengdu and other cities in China. XPENG plans to deploy 10,000 self-operated charging stations by 2026, including 4,500 liquid-cooled ultra-fast charging stations.

As for sales performance, XPENG delivered 36,717 smart EVs in July this year, marking a year-on-year (YoY) surge of 229% and a MoM increase of 6%. This was the ninth consecutive month with monthly deliveries above 30,000 units. In the first seven months of 2025, XPENG's cumulative deliveries reached 233,906 units, with a YoY roar of 270%. By the end of July this year, the company's total deliveries since inception had surpassed 800,000 units.

Among vehicle models, the XPENG MONA M03 was a standout, with over 15,000 units delivered in July this year. The model has achieved monthly deliveries above 10,000 units for 11 straight months since launch, with a cumulative total sales volumes exceeding 150,000 units. The XPENG P7+ also maintained strong market traction, with cumulative deliveries surpassing 67,000 units. On the product front, the XPENG G7 hit the market on July 3 this year at a starting price of 195,800 yuan. Featuring a computing power of 2,250 TOPS and on-device VLA+VLM large models, the XPENG G7 secured more than 10,000 units of firm orders within nine minutes of market launch.

Alongside soaring sales, XPENG has made significant strides in its globalization strategy. The company has successfully entered 46 countries and regions worldwide. On July 11, 2025, XPENG showcased its 2025 G6 and G9 at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in the UK and announced their European debut, marking the brand's entry into new markets including the UK, Italy, and Ireland in the first half of 2025. More notably, at the GAIKINDO Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) on July 24 this year, XPENG revealed Indonesia as its first global production hub outside China and delivered the first locally built XPENG X9 to a local customer — officially kicking off the company's localized global manufacturing strategy.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
