The partnership will focus on aligning with user demands and trends in robot battery technology to enhance performance and application.

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On the eve of the 2025 World Robot Conference (WRC), Chinese embodied intelligence company Vbot entered into a deep collaboration with Chinese battery manufacturer EVE Energy on robotics, aiming to advance the mass production of embodied intelligence products, according to a post issued by EVE Energy via its WeChat account on August 11. The partnership will focus on aligning with user demands and trends in robot battery technology to enhance performance and application.

During the WRC, Vbot unveiled China's first intelligent companion robot, featuring VLA autonomous mobility and Agent visual-language interaction. Free from remote controls, the robot enables natural communication and closed-loop command execution, redefining the concept of a smart home companion.

Designed for households and personal use, the Vbot intelligent companion robot offers new consumer experiences — following family members on outings, carrying bags, capturing photos and videos, and helping watch over elderly relatives and children, effectively becoming a new member of the family.

In terms of endurance, the Vbot intelligent companion robot optimizes system architecture, which increases motor torque density, and houses the largest battery compartment in its class among quadruped robots. With over 600Wh of battery power — 38% above the industry ceiling — it delivers significantly extended runtime.

Vbot is now jointly developing with EVE Energy an even higher-density battery pack, expected to boost capacity by 30% and enable more than six hours of outdoor operation, sufficient for a full day's use.

In February, Morgan Stanley published a list of the world's top 100 listed companies in the humanoid robot sector, with EVE Energy named as one of only two Chinese battery suppliers to make the cut.

At a previous industry forum, Feng Yanqiang, chief engineer for EVE Energy's robotics battery division, noted that limited battery life remains one of the biggest challenges and pain points for humanoid robots. At this year's WRC, EVE Energy showcased its "Dense Energy Solutions" ("Dense" literally translating from the Chinese Pinyin "Zhimi"), presenting a complete portfolio of battery solutions for robotics.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
