FAW Group boasts 6.5% YoY growth in July 2025 vehicle sales

Chinese auto manufacturer FAW Group reported sales of 252,400 new vehicles for the month of July 2025, marking a year-on-year growth of 6.5%.

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Chinese auto manufacturer FAW Group reported sales of 252,400 new vehicles for the month of July 2025, marking a year-on-year growth of 6.5%, while it logged a vehicle production volume of 253,600 units, showing a month-on-month rise of 11.4%, according to a press release by FAW Group via its WeChat account on August 1.

FAW Group said that the sales volume of its self-owned brands reached 73,300 units in July, rising 29.4% from the year-ago period. Of those, new energy vehicle models contributed 28,500 units, a 129.03% soar compared to the prior-year period. In addition, the sales volume of joint-venture brands accounted for 179,000 units.

FAW-Volkswagen continued to enhance its product portfolio, unveiling the next-generation Sagitar L while celebrating the rollout of the 4.3-millionth-unit Sagitar vehicle, reaffirming the model's benchmark status in the A+ sedan segment. The Audi Q6L e-tron successfully completed a multi-car collision test, showcasing the brand's comprehensive safety capabilities in the new energy era. Meanwhile, Jetta brand rolled out its all-new VS8 SUV, with the first unit delivered to a customer.

Accelerating its global expansion in July, FAW Group officially established FAW Europe LLC in the Netherlands, marking a new phase of growth in the European market. FAW Group's Hongqi brand made breakthroughs in key emerging Middle Eastern markets, securing orders for 1,714 vehicles, while the Jiefang brand deepened its global strategy with plans to set up wholly-owned subsidiaries in eight countries, including Uzbekistan and Indonesia.
