Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On August 9, Geely's Galaxy brand announced that its newly launched Galaxy A7 sedan had received more than 10,000 units of firm orders within 24 hours of going on sale.

The mid-sized sedan officially hit the market on August 8 with seven variants priced between 89,800 yuan and 125,800 yuan. For a limited launch period, prices start at 81,800 yuan and top out at 117,800 yuan.

The Galaxy A7 adopts Geely's "Galaxy Ripple" design philosophy, blending traditional Chinese aesthetics with a modern luxury-tech edge. Offered in six exterior colors, the model measures 4,918 mm long, 1,905 mm wide and 1,495 mm high, with a wheelbase of 2,845 mm. Its exterior exudes a strong, upscale presence, further defined by full-width headlamp and taillight designs now popular across the segment.

Inside, the Galaxy A7 showcases Geely's latest interior language, characterized by clean lines and a tech-oriented layout. Key features include a 16.6-inch wide-format W-HUD (windshield head-up display) and a 15.4-inch 2.5K central touchscreen. The infotainment suite runs the Galaxy Flyme Auto smart cockpit system, compatible with HiCar, Carlink, Flyme Link, and Apple CarPlay.

The model debuts Geely's "G-Pilot" H3 driver assistance platform, built on Horizon Robotics' Journey 6M chip, which delivers 128 TOPS of computing power. By tightly integrating hardware with advanced algorithms, the system optimizes performance while reducing energy consumption. It supports multi-sensor fusion—combining LiDAR, millimeter-wave radar, and more—to maintain perception reliability in challenging conditions such as heavy rain, fog, or nighttime driving. Enabled by this setup, the Galaxy A7 offers high-speed and elevated-road NOA (Navigate-on-Autopilot), urban ICC (intelligent cruise control), automated parking, and AEB (automatic emergency braking).

Power comes from Geely's NordThor EM-i super hybrid system, pairing a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated engine (82 kW, 136 Nm) with an electric motor. The setup delivers a combined driving range of over 2,100 km, a fuel consumption rate as low as 2 liters per 100 km when the battery is depleted, and up to 150 km of range in battery-power-only mode.
