【SMM Aluminum News Flash】A key technology of Chinalco Shandong Enterprise was selected into the national catalog

On August 9th, the 2025 TopBrand "World's 500 Most Valuable Brands" list was released. Chinalco ranked 126th on the list with a brand value of US$73.24 billion, a US$12.87 billion increase from 2024. This marked a 36-place jump in the rankings, achieving another significant leap forward. Among metal and mineral companies, the Group's brand value ranked second in the world and first in China. Furthermore, in the 2025 benchmarking assessment of central state-owned enterprises' brand development published by the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, the Group's score saw a further year-on-year increase of over 20%, building on a 40% year-on-year increase the previous year. Recently, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology officially announced the "Catalogue of Advanced and Applicable Processes, Technologies, and Equipment for the Comprehensive Utilization of Industrial Resources (2025 Edition)." Chinalco's Shandong subsidiary's independently developed "Key Technology for the Production of Matrix Composite Materials by Bayer-Process Red Mud Fractionation and Control" was selected for inclusion, marking national recognition of the company's technological strength in the comprehensive utilization of industrial solid waste.
