Both ministers emphasized the importance of business certainty to sustain international trade amid global tariff challenges, and expressed optimism about reaching the bilateral trade target of NZ$6 billion (US$3.6 billion) by 2029, in line with the Indonesia–New Zealand Comprehensive Partnership Plan of Action 2025–2029, leveraging agreements such as AANZFTA and RCEP.
