Upon full production, the project is expected to achieve an annual output value of approximately 1 billion yuan.

[SMM Lithium Battery Recycling] A 50,000 mt/year LFP cathode material project has begun trial production.

Recently, the 50,000 mt/year LFP cathode material project (hereinafter referred to as the "New Energy LFP Project") at the Xinneng Huitong Dual-Carbon Industrial Park has made new progress. Equipment installation has been completed, and trial production is expected to commence in August 2025. Upon reaching full production, the project will have an annual capacity of 50,000 mt of LFP cathode materials, with an estimated annual output value of 8-10 billion yuan.

[SMM Lithium Battery Recycling] A 30,000 mt battery recycling regional center project will be established in Ya'an.

The first phase of the project covers an area of 9,000 m² and will construct a production line with an annual processing capacity of 10,000 mt for second-life application and crushing of end-of-life lithium batteries. It will be equipped with one battery pack disassembly line, one battery module PACK second-life line, and one battery crushing production line, along with supporting battery pretreatment, detection, and inventory turnover areas. The second phase will cover 100 mu of land, expanding the annual battery pack recycling and processing capacity by 20,000 mt. It will include an automobile dismantling workshop with an annual capacity of 40,000 units for refined dismantling, a storage area for end-of-life NEV power batteries, a battery dismantling and detection workshop for second-life application, a crushing and sorting workshop, and a hydrometallurgy production line. The total annual processing capacity will reach 30,000 mt of end-of-life batteries.

[SMM Lithium Battery Recycling] Weishan County End-of-Life Lithium Battery Resource Recycling Project

Recently, the Natural Resources and Planning Bureau of Weishan County, Shandong Province, released a pre-approval announcement for the detailed construction plan and construction project planning permit for the Shandong End-of-Life Lithium Battery Resource Recycling Project. The advancement of this project marks a new development stage in China's lithium power battery recycling sector.

[Xining City Launches 10,000 mt Scrap Lithium-Ion Battery Crushing Line] Recently, the Ecology and Environment Bureau of Xining City, Qinghai Province, released the approval announcement for the "Comprehensive Utilization Project of Electrolytic Aluminum Waste Residue and Retired Lithium-Ion Batteries by Qinghai Dingneng Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd." The implementation of this project will open new pathways for resource recycling in China's new energy industry. With a total investment of 220 million yuan, the project is located at No. 8 Qingping Road, Huangjiazhai Town, Datong Hui and Tu Autonomous County, Xining City, Qinghai Province. It plans to construct three core production lines: (1) an 80,000 mt/year electrolytic aluminum maintenance residue (including steel bars, cathode carbon blocks, and waste refractory materials) and 20,000 mt/year carbon residue processing line, capable of extracting high-value products such as graphite, electrolytic aluminum electrolyte, and lithium carbonate; (2) a 10,000 mt/year scrap lithium-ion battery crushing line, primarily producing copper powder, aluminum powder, aluminum shells, and black mass; and (3) a 50,000 mt/year aluminum ash residue processing line, focusing on producing materials like calcium aluminate.

[Tianquan County Launches 30,000 mt New Energy Battery Life Cycle Second-Life Application Regional Center Project] Recently, the People's Government of Tianquan County, Ya'an City, Sichuan Province, released the first environmental impact assessment information disclosure for the "Sichuan-Tibet New Energy Battery Life Cycle Second-Life Application Regional Center Project by Tianquan Junengxin Technology Co., Ltd.," marking the official public debut of this key project with a total investment of approximately 380 million yuan. Located in Shiyang Town, Tianquan County, the project will be constructed in two phases, aiming to establish a leading power battery recycling system in south-west China. The first phase covers 9,000 m², focusing on building a retired lithium battery second-life application and crushing processing line with an annual capacity of 10,000 mt. The planned configuration includes one battery pack disassembly line, one battery cell module PACK second-life line, one battery crushing production line, and supporting facilities such as a battery pretreatment area, detection area, and inventory turnover area. The second phase will expand to 100 mu, increasing the annual battery pack recycling capacity by 20,000 mt, adding an automobile dismantling workshop capable of fine dismantling 40,000 units/year, and constructing storage facilities for retired NEV power batteries, battery disassembly and detection workshops, second-life application workshops, crushing and sorting workshops, and a hydrometallurgy production line, raising the total processing capacity to 30,000 mt/year.
