[SMM Flash News: Overseas Buyers Must Pay Higher Prices for Rare Earth Products] US rare earth element producer Energy Fuels noted that due to shifting market dynamics, buyers now must pay higher prices for rare earth elements, which has become a "reality." The company's CEO Mark Chalmers stated during a recent earnings call: "If you want to compete with China, you have to invest more. I believe this concept is gradually gaining acceptance."

As global demand for rare earth elements continues to rise, governments and enterprises worldwide are reassessing their supply chains. The US Department of Defense has invested substantial funds in domestic rare earth producer MP Materials and signed long-term purchase agreements to ensure stable rare earth supplies.

Meanwhile, the Australian government is considering implementing a minimum price mechanism for heavy rare earth elements and exploring the possibility of establishing national offtake agreements. These measures reflect the government's deep understanding of the current rare earth market and its efforts to secure national resource independence.
