[SMM Weekly Review of Brass Billet Market]SMM data shows that the operating rate of brass billet producers was 49.87% this week, up 0.99 percentage points MoM, as the decline in copper prices at the end of last week drove a slight increase in production this week. Both inventory and raw material inventory decreased, with raw material inventory at 3.7 days (down 0.04 days) and finished product inventory at 5.99 days (down 0.15 days). Next week, affected by weak consumption during the off-season and tight raw material supply, the operating rate is expected to decrease by 0.12 percentage points MoM to 49.74%. However, orders are expected to improve in August, limiting the decline.
