On August 5th, Fortuna Mining reported an updated Mineral Resource estimate for its Diamba Sud Gold Project in Senegal, effective as of July 7, 2025. Indicated gold resources rose 53% to 724,000 ounces (14.2 Mt @ 1.59 g/t), while Inferred resources jumped 93% to 285,000 ounces (6.2 Mt @ 1.44 g/t). The update incorporates new drilling data from July 2024 to July 2025, totaling 243 holes and 31,652 meters.

Initial Inferred resources were also reported for the Southern Arc (194,000 oz) and Moungoundi (31,000 oz) deposits. A Preliminary Economic Analysis (PEA) is underway, with completion targeted for Q4 2025. Ongoing exploration at Southern Arc aims to upgrade resources and test extensions to the south and east.

Resource growth was driven by infill drilling, improved geological interpretation, and a higher long-term gold price assumption of $2,600/oz.
