Yunnan Copper Tech's Tender for ~21.6 Metric Tons of 3N Selenium Powder Concluded Successfully 【SMM Selenium】

SMM News, August 6: According to official information from Yunnan Copper Technology Development Co., Ltd., the public tender for approximately 21.6 metric tons of 3N selenium powder concluded successfully yesterday. Product specifications: 200-mesh selenium powder, packed in 25 kg drums, with 1,200 kg per pallet (a standard hazardous chemical transport vehicle can carry 18 pallets). The final transaction price was reportedly around 180,000 yuan per ton.

Market insiders noted that this transaction price is already relatively high. Considering recent prices of crude selenium and other selenium products, the selenium market has shown clear signs of stabilization and strength. In the short term, the downward trend in selenium prices may have already ended. Analysts suggest that the selenium market is likely to bottom out and rebound in the future, with crude selenium and selenium dioxide also showing signs of nearing their lowest levels. Once the traditional summer off-season concludes, prices may begin to fluctuate upward in September and October.
