Guinea's Koumbia Bauxite Mine Achieves First Shipment

【International Bauxite Shipments】 According to data released by the Guinea Geological Bureau, Australia's AMCG Mining Company (La Société Alliance Mining Commodities Guinée AMCG) shipped two vessels of bauxite totaling 349,973 tonnes from Dapilon Port between July 21st and July 27th from its Koumbia Mine in the Boké mining region. This marks the first shipment since the mine's completion.SMM understands that this private company holds the mining concession for the Koumbia bauxite project in Gaoual Province, northwestern Republic of Guinea. The Guinean government holds a 10% free carried interest in AMC SA, the subsidiary holding the concession.

The Koumbia mining concession covers an area of 728 square kilometers and includes 15 contiguous, high-quality bauxite plateaus on the surface, with a total baxuite reserve of 2.175 billion tonnes, averaging 43.5% Al₂O₃ and 3.8% silica dioxide. Within this:
Measured Resources: 625 million tonnes, averaging 44.7% Al₂O₃ and 2.7% silica dioxide (including 305 million tonnes of high-grade measured resources, averaging 48.1% Al₂O₃ and 2.5% silica dioxide).
Inferred Resources: 1.551 billion tonnes, averaging 42.9% Al₂O₃ and 4.3% silica dioxide.
