IM Motors currently offers a diverse model lineup that includes the IM L6, LS6, L7, and LS7.

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On August 1, IM Motors, the new energy vehicle brand co-backed by SAIC Motor, Alibaba Group, and Zhangjiang High-tech, reported sales of 7,027 new vehicles for the month of July 2025, achieving steady growth both year-on-year and month-on-month.

IM Motors currently offers a diverse model lineup that includes the IM L6, LS6, L7, and LS7. The all-new IM L6, hitting the market on May 13 this year, is available in four trim levels. It debuted with a starting MSRP (Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price) of 219,900 yuan, with a limited-time introductory price beginning at 204,900 yuan.

Positioned as a mid-to-large premium all-electric sedan, the IM L6 features IM Motors' proprietary "Agile Lizard Digital Chassis" and a four-wheel steering system capable of an 18-degree rear-wheel turning angle, enabling a tight turning radius of just 4.69 meters. The entire lineup is built on an 800V high-voltage platform.

Design-wise, the IM L6 sports a revised front fascia with an elevated logo placement and a more compact LiDAR sensor module to reduce the drag coefficient. It is available in six exterior colors: Ares Black, Nevis Blue, Raphael Brown, Ferdinand Pink, Matisse Red, and Morandi Purple — the latter two being newly introduced.

Inside, the IM L6 adopts a T-shaped dashboard layout. Its standout feature is a retractable panoramic display that spans the width of the cabin. The instrument cluster is seamlessly integrated with the central screen, while the passenger display remains independent. The model runs on the upgraded IMOS 4.0 operating system. Customers can choose between a semi-spoke "soft-touch" steering wheel and a full-spoke version with ultra-wide visibility. A new comfort-focused "space seat" has also been added for the front passenger.

In terms of performance, the IM L6 is powered by silicon carbide-based "Hurricane" electric motors that deliver enhanced efficiency and faster charging. The Ultra variant boasts a maximum output of 579kW and a peak torque of 800N・m. The Max and Max+ variants deliver a maximum power of 245kW, while the Pro Max variant offers a top output of 300kW.

Looking ahead, IM Motors stated that while its BEV (battery electric vehicle) strategy remained stable in the first half of this year, it planned an aggressive rollout of REEV (range-extended electric vehicle) models in the second half. On the evening of August 1, the company officially unveiled its super range-extended technology "Hengxing" (literally meaning "star"), marking its entry into the REEV segment. The new system features a 66kWh battery dedicated for REEV, enabling a CLTC battery-powered range of exceeding 450 kilometers and supporting 800V ultra-fast charging power to significantly boost energy replenishment efficiency.
