Cumulative sales for the first seven months of 2025 reached 935,000 units, marking a 5.6% increase from the same period last year and underscoring the group's solid momentum.

The group's self-owned brands continued to perform well overall. According to a stock filing by BAIC BluePark, its new energy vehicle (NEV) arm, BAIC BJEV sold 10,280 units in July—a 6.38% year-on-year decline. However, year-to-date sales surged to 77,432 units, nearly doubling from the same period last year with a 98.58% surge.

Sales of BAIC Group's joint ventures totaled around 42,000 units in July. Among them, Beijing Hyundai posted a strong performance with 17,761 vehicles sold during the month, a 41.5% year-on-year spike. Its year-to-date sales stood at about 118,000 units.

In total, BAIC Group is nearing the one-million-unit mark so far this year, with both its domestic and joint venture brands contributing to overall growth. While the NEV segment posted a slight dip in July sales, the year-to-date figures remain robust, reflecting sustained long-term momentum.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
