On August 4th, India’s GreenLine Mobility Solutions announced a ₹4 billion (~$45.7 million) investment to expand its electric truck fleet for Hindustan Zinc, aiming to replace diesel vehicles in material transport between mines and smelters.

The investment will also fund the development of commercial-scale battery swapping infrastructure and double the miner’s LNG-powered truck fleet to 200 units for long-haul finished goods transport.

This move aligns with Hindustan Zinc’s net-zero carbon emissions target by 2050. GreenLine previously committed $275 million in April 2025 toward the decarbonization of heavy trucking.
