Geely Automobile scores 58% YoY surge in July 2025 vehicle sales

In July 2025, Geely Automobile Holdings Limited recorded a sales volume of 237,717 vehicles, representing a year-on-year surge of 58% and a slight month-on-month growth of 0.7%.

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- In July 2025, Geely Automobile Holdings Limited ("Geely Automobile") recorded a sales volume of 237,717 vehicles, representing a year-on-year surge of 58% and a slight month-on-month growth of 0.7%, according to the automaker's announcement.

Of the vehicles sold last month, 130,124 units were contributed by new energy vehicles (NEVs), displaying a 120% spike over a year earlier.

Breaking down the July NEV sales by powertrain solutions, sales of batter electric vehicles (BEVs) and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs) amounted to 90,043 units and 40,081 units, soaring 192% and 42% over a year earlier.

Besides, Geely Automobile posted an export volume of 35,272 vehicles for the month of July, showing a 6% year-on-year growth.

As for the July performance by specific brand or product range, Geely brand's flagship "Star" series logged vehicle sales of 98,481 units, which rose 15% over the year-ago period. Galaxy brand saw its sales zoom up 237% year over year to 95,043 units. In addition, there were 16,977 vehicles sold under the Zeekr brand, a year-on-year increase of 8%, while Lynk & Co had a sales volume of 27,216 units, which jumped 28% from the previous year.

For the first seven months of 2025, the automaker sold a total of 1,646,897 vehicles, representing a year-on-year leap of 49%. Of those, NEVs contributed 855,275 units (+126% YoY), including 600,846 BEVs (+176% YoY) and 254,429 PHEVs (+58% YoY).

What's more, the automaker exported 219,386 vehicles through the Jan.-Jul. period, marking a year-on-year dip of 6%.
