Xiaomi EV's deliveries top 30,000 units in July amid surging demand for YU7

Xiaomi EV delivered more than 30,000 vehicles in July, marking a 20% increase from June and a 121% surge year-on-year.

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Xiaomi EV delivered more than 30,000 vehicles in July, marking a 20% increase from June and a 121% surge year-on-year, according to sales data shared by company founder Lei Jun on August 1.

The company currently sells two models—the SU7 and the newly launched YU7—both of which remain in short supply.

Wait times for the SU7 now exceed 30 weeks, while interest in the YU7 has far outpaced that of its predecessor. Delivery timelines for the YU7 now stretch up to 15 months.

By July 10, Xiaomi EV had surpassed 300,000 units in cumulative deliveries, just 15 months after entering the EV market. The company thanked customers for their trust and pledged to "invest tenfold" to build even better vehicles.

To keep pace with surging demand, Xiaomi EV is not only ramping up output at its current plant but also expanding production capacity through additional facilities.

Xiaomi's first manufacturing facility, designed for an annual output of 150,000 vehicles, is currently producing around 24,000 units per month—nearing the limits of its equipment's capacity.

Its second plant, also targeting 150,000 units annually, is scheduled to begin full-scale operations by the end of July. Mass production is expected to stabilize in August, with an initial monthly target of 8,000 vehicles.

Planning for a third factory is already underway.
