Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On July 31, NIO's sub-brand ONVO officially launched the L90 family-oriented premium SUV model onto the market. Offered in both six- and seven-seat configurations, the ONVO L90 is priced from 265,800 yuan, with a BaaS (Battery-as-a-Service) rental version starting at 179,800 yuan.
Measuring 5,145mm in length with a wheelbase of 3,110mm, the L90 features five exterior color options, including Ridge Brown and Morning Silver. Customers can choose between 20-inch ultra-low-drag wheels paired with Goodyear silent tires, or 21-inch five-spoke alloys with Michelin silent tires. An optional power-deploying side step, designed for easier access, is available to assist elderly and younger passengers.
Storage is a strong point: a 240-liter smart front trunk opens with a double tap, while the rear cargo area provides up to 430 liters of space even with the third row in use—enough for seven 20-inch suitcases.
Comfort features are standard across the range, with all trim levels including seat heating, ventilation, and massage functions. The six-seat version features second-row zero-gravity seats that recline to 135° at the touch of a button, while the seven-seat variant allows the center seat to fold into a wide armrest. The vehicle is equipped with nine airbags, offering full coverage for all three rows.
The ONVO L90's cabin features a four-screen setup, including a 17.2-inch 3K central touchscreen, a 17.3-inch roof-mounted entertainment screen, an 8-inch rear-seat control panel, and a 35-inch AR head-up display. The onboard AI assistant "Xiao Le" supports over 1,600 voice commands and recognizes up to 20 individual voiceprints. The premium 23-speaker ONVO Sound system delivers 2,048W of output and supports Dolby Atmos. Max trim levels also receive upgraded interiors with Nappa leather and real wood inlays.
Underpinning the ONVO L90's intelligence layer is the NT.Coconut operating system, which supports 45 active safety features including end-to-end automatic emergency braking. The model will transition to a more advanced AI framework by year-end to further enhance its assisted driving capabilities.
The Pro and Max variants feature a 340kW rear-mounted permanent magnet motor, while the Ultra trim adds a front asynchronous motor, boosting combined output to 440kW. The rear-wheel-drive version accelerates from 0–100 km/h in 5.9 seconds, with the all-wheel-drive version cutting that to 4.7 seconds.
All variants come with an 85kWh battery pack, offering a maximum CLTC range of 605 kilometers on the RWD model and a low energy consumption rating of 14.5kWh/100km. The ONVO L90 supports 900V ultra-fast charging (30% to 80% in just 18 minutes) and battery swapping via NIO's network of over 3,400 power swap stations across China.
With its high-voltage 900V platform, extensive battery-swapping infrastructure, and family-focused smart features, the ONVO L90 is aimed squarely at resolving common concerns around space and energy replenishment for large households. Starting at just 265,800 yuan—or 179,800 yuan with BaaS—the ONVO L90 significantly lowers the entry barrier for six- and seven-seat luxury electric SUVs. Deliveries are set to begin on August 1.
