This move addresses the growing demand for high-performance permanent magnets containing heavy rare earth oxides in the defense, advanced manufacturing, and renewable energy sectors. The demand for these materials is intensifying in Western countries such as the US, the UK, and Europe. The Belfast plant plays a crucial role in Ionic's vertically integrated rare earth supply chain, utilizing advanced processing technologies to meet the stringent industry specifications for dysprosium and terbium. Currently, the company is in negotiations with manufacturers in the US, Europe, and Asia regarding the supply of heavy rare earth elements and will promptly disclose the progress and developments of commercial agreements.
