This week, several Australian lithium mine companies released reports highlighting the industry's struggles. Amid the global slowdown in EV demand and the impact of policy shifts in the US, lithium prices have plummeted nearly 90% from their 2022 peak, prompting companies to book impairments, cut costs, and adjust their strategies.

IGO and Mineral Resources warned of asset impairments;

Pilbara Minerals emphasized cost control;

Liontown Resources resold some lithium ore originally intended for supply to Ford to Chinese buyers (Ford's EV sales in Q2 plummeted).
