[Action Plan for Screening and Rectification of Environmental Safety Hazards Related to Heavy Metals Such as Lead] It is reported that recently, with the approval of the State Council, nine departments including the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), and the Ministry of Science and Technology jointly issued the "Action Plan for Screening and Rectification of Environmental Safety Hazards Related to Heavy Metals (2025-2030)". This screening and rectification effort focuses on five provinces (autonomous regions) including Guangxi, Hunan, Jiangxi, Yunnan, and Guangdong, as well as 21 cities (prefectures) such as Sanmenxia in Henan and Qiandongnan in Guizhou. Other regions across the country may carry out screening and rectification based on their actual situations, referring to this plan. The heavy metal pollutants targeted for screening and rectification include lead, mercury, cadmium, chromium, arsenic, thallium, and antimony, while also considering other heavy metal pollutants such as manganese, zinc, and copper.
