According to CCTV News, on July 30 local time, US President Trump posted that the US had reached a "comprehensive and complete" trade agreement with South Korea. Under the agreement, South Korea will provide the US with $350 billion for investment projects owned and controlled by the US. In addition, South Korea will also purchase liquefied natural gas or other energy products worth $100 billion and pledge to reinvest a substantial amount of funds for domestic investment purposes. The amount will be announced during the bilateral talks between South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol and the US two weeks later. Trump said that the US and South Korea had reached an agreement that the US would impose a 15% tariff on South Korea. Meanwhile, the US would not be subject to tariffs. South Korea will fully open its trade to the US and accept US products, including cars, trucks, and agricultural products.
