US imposes additional 40% tariff on Pakistan

The US White House announced that President Trump had signed an executive order to impose an additional 40% tariff on Brazil, bringing the total tariff to 50%. However, the White House also clarified that the increased tariff did not cover certain wood pulp, petroleum products, specific fertilizers, energy and related products, pig iron, and precious metals. Previously, Trump had indicated that he would raise tariffs on all Brazilian imports to 50% from a certain point in time. (CCTV News)
