Recently, the State Administration for Market Regulation and the National Standardization Administration released the announcement for National Standard No. 16 of 2025. Ten national standards, including the magnesium alloy AM60 composition series standard sample (block) developed by Aluminum Corporation of China (Chalco) subsidiaries, Chalco Testing, Fushun Aluminum Industry, Southwest Aluminum, and Dongqing, have been officially approved and published.The ten national standard samples approved and published involve eight alloys including magnesium alloys AM60 and AZ31, as well as aluminum alloys 6A02, 355Z.1, 6013, Y430, 2A11, and 2024. The release of these national standard samples not only fills the domestic standard sample gap, ensuring the accuracy and consistency of laboratory analysis and testing, but also provides technical guarantees for regulating domestic product manufacturing and enhancing product quality. Furthermore, it will promote the formulation and revision of relevant textual standards, significantly improving the recognition level of chemical composition testing for related alloys and enhancing the competitiveness of China's nonferrous metal industry.
