Ganfeng LiEnergy has achieved full coverage of the entire industry chain for solid-state batteries, with lithium sulfide mass production leading industry standards, and 500Wh/kg batteries set for commercial application in 2025.

urrently, Ganfeng Lithium is the only domestic company with integrated capabilities across the entire solid-state battery industry chain. It has established a comprehensive layout spanning key segments such as sulfide and oxide electrolytes, raw materials, lithium metal anodes, battery cells, and battery systems.

I. Key Raw Material for Solid-State Batteries: Lithium Sulfide (99.9%, D50≤5μm)
Ganfeng Lithium has achieved mass production from lithium chemicals to lithium sulfide, completing the final link in the solid-state battery ecosystem.
By 2022, Ganfeng Lithium had already possessed mass production capabilities for battery-grade lithium sulfide and further expanded its production scale in 2024. Its lithium sulfide products boast a purity of 99.9% with D50≤5μm, featuring high purity, low impurity content, and excellent consistency, meeting the technical requirements for high-conductivity solid-state electrolyte materials. The company currently supplies over 20 clients.
In R&D, the group has filed multiple patents for lithium sulfide. The "Nonferrous Metals Industry Standard of the People's Republic of China: Battery-Grade Lithium Sulfide," led by Ganfeng Lithium, has entered the pre-review stage, poised to usher in a standardized era for battery-grade lithium sulfide.

II. Core Material for Solid-State Batteries: Electrolyte
In electrolytes, Ganfeng has invested years in R&D for both sulfide and oxide routes. Sulfide solid electrolytes like LPSC/LPS/LGPS achieve sub-micron ultrafine powder (D50<1 μm) through process optimization, with conductivity reaching 3 mS/cm, making them key raw materials for all-solid-state batteries. Ultra-high ionic conductivity oxide powder materials have been developed, with LLZO solid electrolytes achieving 1.7 mS/cm and LATP reaching 1.4 mS/cm at room temperature. Polymer-based solid electrolyte membranes withstand 5V high voltage, with room-temperature ionic conductivity exceeding 0.5 mS/cm and thickness below 30 μm.

III. Main Material for Solid-State Batteries: Lithium Anode (300mm Ultra-Thin)
For anodes, Ganfeng's ultra-thin lithium strips also feature mass production capabilities, offering customized solutions for cycle performance, processing, and electrochemical stability. The company has achieved mass production of 300mm-wide ultra-thin lithium strips, with lithium foil thickness in copper-lithium composite strips reaching 3 μm. Lithium metal batteries using ultra-thin lithium or copper-lithium composite strips as anodes are considered the most promising, with Ganfeng's solid-state batteries equipped with lithium metal anodes achieving energy densities exceeding 500 Wh/kg.

IV. Solid-State Batteries: 500 Wh/kg
At the battery and system level, Ganfeng's high-specific-energy batteries include:
- 320 Wh/kg batteries with silicon-carbon anodes, achieving 1,000 cycles;
- 400 Wh/kg batteries with silicon-carbon anodes, exceeding 600 cycles;
- 500 Wh/kg ultra-high-specific-energy batteries with lithium metal anodes, now in small-batch production for 10Ah-level products.
The group has full design capabilities, with CTP packing efficiency at 74% and production efficiency improved by 30%.

V. Commercialization Progress: Low-Altitude Applications
While refining its industrial ecosystem, Ganfeng Lithium is accelerating the commercialization of solid-state batteries. The company has launched dedicated solutions for the low-altitude economy, forming strategic partnerships with leading drone and eVTOL manufacturers, with the first products expected for delivery in 2025.

Achieving integrated layout across the entire industry chain will streamline upstream and downstream links, but this demands higher technical expertise and financial support from enterprises.
