In June 2025, China exported 9.678 million mt of steel, down 8.5% MoM, marking the first MoM decline since March this year. The average export price was $687.1/mt, dropping slightly by 1.6% MoM. From January to June, China's cumulative steel exports reached 58.147 million mt, up 8.9% YoY, with an average export price of $699.3/mt, down 10.2% YoY. In June, China imported 470,000 mt of steel, down 2.4% MoM, with an average import price of $1,712.5/mt, down 2.1% MoM. From January to June, China's cumulative steel imports amounted to 3.023 million mt, down 16.4% YoY, with an average import price of $1,686.4/mt, up 2.2% YoY.
