According to SMM, the ±500 kV Gaopo Converter Station has been connected to the Guiyang Regional Control Center, marking the launch of China's first centralized AC-DC monitoring platform. The data application rate, monitoring efficiency, and fault handling efficiency have increased by 400%, 90%, and 75% respectively, propelling the West-to-East Electricity Transmission Project into a new phase of intelligent operation and maintenance. The converter station has a prominent demand for copper wire and cable with high conductivity and wear resistance. Intelligent monitoring necessitates higher stability requirements, driving the R&D of high-purity, aging-resistant copper wire and cable. Precise operation and maintenance bring new opportunities for the selection optimization and performance upgrading of such cables.
